Shoe of the Year {2018}

Like everyone else around this time of year I start thinking about what my New Year’s resolution should be, what I want to accomplish in the year and what goals are realistically attainable.
As always, I want to be healthier, I want to lose weight and I want to be happy. Sounds simple right? As anyone who has ever set these three goals knows, they are always easier to set than to accomplish.

Many of my blogger friends have been choosing a word of the year so I thought rather than try to set my goal so specially I would try the “word” route. To me this was more about setting up my intentions vs. focusing on the end goals.

But then I ran into a road block – What word do I choose? Do I choose “intention” and call it a day? Is that taking the easy way out already (and we’re only a week into the new year)?

And then I fell right into the perfect solution – a shoe!

I should have thought of this earlier but sometimes it takes seeing the perfect shoe to know it. I was discussing some upcoming changes on the blog (more about that later!) with a friend when we started discussing new pictures, the perfect shoes for various outfits, locations, etc. and we both instantly had these shoes in mind.

They represent exactly the intentions I have for this year:
– They are comfortable, but exude confidence;
– They are fancy, but practical; and,
– They are fun, but mean business at the same time.

Here’s to a year filled with fun adventures!

What would your shoe of the year be?

    Those shoes are fun. I saw a bold pair of shoes in a similar style but emblazoned with skulls online – I think that would be my choice for my year! Bold, assertive, in your face and apologetically unique
