My day started off as it normally does on a Thursday – my alarm went off at 5:01am, I hit snooze with the intention to get up at 5:10am to exercise, Little Dude came scurrying in at 5:03am determined to get some snuggle time in and a few extra zzz’s in Mommy’s bed (Daddy wasn’t home) before getting up for the day, of course I agreed… we snuggled till about 6:30am, got up, rushed around to get breakfast, eat and head out the door for a normal day of work/daycare.
The day went on as normal as can be expected… and it wasn’t until later that evening that I noticed my reflection in the patio doors and laughed to myself “We are definitely two peas in a pod… I’m my Mom”.
When I got home from work that day I put on exercise clothes, again with the intention of doing something once Little Dude went to bed. But, shortly after I was chilly walking around in a tank top and yoga capris so I added a sweater and pull on slippers. You see, it was the first really cold day of the winter season so we didn’t have the heat turned up in the house. I was fine in the “outfit” until I sat down with Little Dude for him to fall asleep. I didn’t want to move and disturb him so I near froze until he went in his bed about 30 minutes later.
At this point I had given up on the idea of exercising and opted for my housecoat a pair of socks and better slippers for warmth while I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen.
Me – December 14, 2017 |
In the end, I might look funny, have a million and two things on the go at the same time and be living in my “organized” mess, but there is no one else I’d rather be like than my mama.
Love you Mom
xoxo Jenna
My shoes for that: The first set of slippers I had on that day (you can get these for about $10-$15 at many gift shops, so keep an eye out for them 🙂
PS My apologies in advance to the Mr.
My wardrobe is likely not going to improve as time goes on 😉
