If you visit St.-Leonard, New Brunswick there are a few things you must do. Go to Lise Couture Plus, get a coffee at Tim Hortons and if you’re an invited guest you may get to try Lise’s Shrimp Dip.
I have been lucky enough to enjoy this dip (as made by Lise) several times and have even made it myself a few times with great success. Do not be intimidated by the lack of instruction… this is really one of those recipes that you need to go by the taste and go by the consistency that you like for the dip.
Lise’s Shrimp Dip
2 cans cocktail shrimp
1 package of shredded cheese (marble or cheddar)
Light Miracle Whip
Green onions as desired
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients except light miracle whip in a bowl.
Add light miracle whip until desired consistency.
(a little at a time, the dip is intended to be thick)
Serve as a spread on crackers (Lise uses Breton crackers).
Small side note: don’t skip the green onions! They add a lot of flavour and the dip is not quite the same without them.
Make this recipe even easier with Pampered Chef!
Note: I may receive a small commission if you purchase an item linked in this post.
Enjoy!
