Canadian Travel Activity Booklet

Have you ever been 2 minutes from home and you hear a little voice from the back seat asking “are we there yet”? Don’t worry, I’ve been there too and created this Canadian Activity Booklet to help!

Through chatting about our road trip and travel experiences with children one of my best friends and I decided to take matters into our own hands and create an educational printable for everyone to enjoy. If you don’t have children… keep reading! I had just as much fun colouring this as the kids would so it’s really a booklet for all ages.

We took our inspiration from our Indigenous neighbours in Pabineau Falls New Brunswick, Maple Syrup Season and based the colouring page loosely on Dalhousie New Brunswick. Dalhousie is a town with a beautiful lighthouse, a very fun playground, gorgeous scenery and the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The Phantom Ship in the background may get even the most Canadian Canadians asking questions… but the legendary phenomenon  on the Bay of Chaleur in Bathurst New Brunswick proves that magic exists everywhere.

Our hope is that this activity booklet sparks conversation about Canada – our people, our natural resources, our animals, our favorite coffee, our friends, and our love for this great country.

We went a step further and created a French version of the activity booklet so you can learn the words in the search and find with your kids all while learning a little bit of the other official language spoken in Canada.

This Canadian Activity Booklet was originally designed to help parents enjoy the sometimes boring part of travelling with kids, but we’ve learned over the last year that printables that can spark conversation and bring some joy into our homes are equally as valuable. Whether you choose to use this booklet at home, with kids, on your own or in your travels we hope you enjoy it.

When you have fun with the booklet be sure to tag us so we can see what you do with it and share your artwork!
